Executive Order 11 provides that the SCI Commissioner “shall recommend such remedial action as he or she deems necessary, and monitor the implementation by the City School District of recommendations made by him or her.” As such, SCI makes numerous Procedure and Policy Recommendations (“PPR”) annually to the DOE related to corruption, mismanagement, and other ongoing or systemic deficiencies. In the interest of transparency and open government, SCI makes these PPR’s available to the public through its PPR Portal.
